We invite you to gather with us as we dig into Jesus’ wisdom about conflict resolution. Join with others as you feel and able and share this time with us. As this service is made up of many small videos, allow some time for the page to load as we come to worship together.
A Service of Worship
Sunday, July 12, 2020
Sixth Sunday after Pentecost
Greeting
Prelude
If you are gathered with others, we invite you to use this Call to Worship. Nominate a leader, who will read the words in regular print, and everyone else gathered will read the words in bold.
Call to Worship
Adapted from enfleshed’s Liturgies That Matter by Jo Schonewolf
Generously, abundantly, God spreads seeds of holy possibility far and wide.
Who will tend to their growth?
The Spirit of Life cries out to us, calling us to tend the growing things.
May all who long for God join in this labor!
May we work so that love can blossom,
And courage and justice can grow a bountiful crop.
Let God’s harvest be plentiful!
Let God’s love grow among us.
Opening Hymn
Opening Prayer
Adapted from enfleshed’s Liturgies That Matter by Jo Schonewolf
Holy God, though our journeys may take us through valleys of death and over mountains of conflict, your truth is our daily bread and your presence our comfort. Though the struggles may make us weary, keep us determined in love. We are here, O God, to grow and be transformed. May it be so among us. Amen
